    Chevron mistake

Like many people, I made a Bonnie Hunter "Good Fortune" mystery quilt this winter. When I went to put the pieces together, I found I had cut the fabric for the green chevrons smaller than needed. So I made 100 more for the quilt, leaving me with 100 wrong-sized chevrons. They went together with other scraps and some "bonus HSTs" into a small table topper.Name: Mistaken chevrons.jpg

Very pretty "mistake" table runner. I love it when quilts have a story & yours has a great story to tell.

Very pretty and you were very creative to use the error in cutting to go to good use.

Your little topper just proves that you can take lemons and make lemonade. I'd say a wonderful happy accident. I love it. It is so darling.

I cut mine the "wrong direction". They ended up in my quilt as squares rather than pinwheels.
