Thanks for the close-ups! That quilt is the cutest quilt I have EVER seen!

My kitchen has a rooster theme but with renovations planned for 2009, they were going to be history... now you have me thinking!!

    Thanks for sharing!

Good thing you have ADT protecting it... that thing has to be priceless!

Chickens, cats and pigs are my favorite type of quilt. That makes me laugh out loud. Now what are your plans for this quilt? You did a great job. Now are you saying there are two more of these? Do you have pictures of them....... :D

Ruth-I am planning on hanging the quilt in my keeping room, right off the kitchen. Yes, there are two more of these and here are my friends with their quilts.

This is Anne and her quilt top in 2004-she was the first one finished

Yep, it is one of the cutest quilts I've seen in a long time!

Looks like lots and lots of applique and handwork, how long did it take to make?

All you ladies should be super proud of those quilts :D

    hugs sue

Thank you all for your sweet comments!! It was a fun quilt from start to finish. Just finding and collecting chicken patterns and fabrics was fun. Then making the blocks was a blast. Most of the applique was done on the machine and did not take long. We made and swapped blocks for three and a half years before we called a moratorium on the insanity-it could have gone on forever. All three of us used large pieces of leftover chicken fabric to piece our quilt backs-and I STILL have a stash. It was an illness I am glad to put to bed. Glad you all enjoyed it. :D
