Beautiful quilt! And you daughter is very lucky!
Reminds me of a quilt that I was in the middle of making for my oldest son. It was orange batiks. When he was a kid he loved orange slices (candy) so I thought he would love this fabric. He could not stand it. I was upset - not with him but with me. I should have asked him first. But, my youngest son asked me what was wrong and I told him. He then told me he loved the fabric and wanted it. I even took him to the fabric store and he picked out purple minkee for the back. Now if it was me, I would have picked black minkee. Now my youngest has more quilts than his brother. But, I did asked my oldest what he wanted and he told me to make a quilt that looked like grass. I'm thinking delectable mountains in different shades of green batiks. But, I have learned my lesson and will ask him first.
