I made one with presents for my son. This snowman is for my daughter. I did a little echo quilting using gold thread.

Both were from panels I bought back in January for next to nothing. the backing came from my stash - bought at Walmart for $1/yd and LESS after Christmas last year.

My kids always loved advent calendars. Yours is great and very reusable. Wonderful and frugal project!
