Default Christmas gift for my step-daughter

Last year at Christmas, I gave my step-daughter some mug rugs that I purchased from a friend. She asked me if I made them. Unfortunately, I had not. Her face looked a little disappointed to me, but she hid it well.

Going back a way in my personal history, I bought a fabric for her quilt about 5 years ago. It was one of those fabrics that you know instantly will be perfect for someone - in this case my precious step-daughter, Laura. So I pulled that out of the stash and went shopping for some fabrics that would work with it and make up into a great quilt.

Then I went to EQ7, scanned in the fabrics and started playing with different blocks and color combinations. What I came up with used a snowball block and what I call a framed square. Looked great on the screen, so then I had to make it.

It went together easily, and I love it. I can't wait for Christmas so that I can give it to her!

Enjoy.

That is perfect. Great combination of the dark color with the pretty floral print.

I really like that! Simple but the colors are great. She will love it. It sounds like she appreciates handmade items.
