No, I cut a 2 1/4" strip (straight of grain) to bind them. I was worried about not using bias strips because of the curves, but I'm lazy and decided to try it the easy way first. Worked fine! You can also use store-bought bias trim.

Thank you sooo much for the Wine Tote pattern. I just finished one and love, love, love it. The directions were great and the comments following the pattern pictures were also a big help.
