What happened to majority rules? I am completely saddened by this turn of events. The customs we were able to follow are now gone (free country?). I love America and all the melting pot of people so I ask, how can just a very small minority RULE. If we hurt one persons feeling so we hurt all? Goodness, where did all these "Free" words come from must have been hidden in my subconscious.

Merry Christmas is simply a happy, smiley, joyous greeting to those we love, like, and some we don't even know and perhaps don't like as much. PEACE MERRY CHRISTMAS
What about my feelings... DON"T they count???? MERRY CHRISTMAS TOO ALL AND HAPPY NEW YEAR. THERE I SAID IT. :D :-D

Very well put Jad1044. I meant no offense when I said I say "Happy Holidays". I only work one day a week and some patients were in before Thanksgiving so when I said Happy Holidays I was including ALL: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. I had one man object to my saying Happy Holidays and started to tell me about Christ/Christmas. I know!! Do you think we're becoming TOO sensitive? I really meant to enjoy all of them; if I offended anyone here I am really sorry.

I'm sorry did I mistakenly offend you with my statement or am I reading your statement in error? I hope that you know that I agree with you and all who are not inhibited and feel free to say Merry Christmas. May I also add, God's blessing to all and to all a grace filled New year.

cat rancher, you spoke true, and I do realize there are many that aren't christians and all, so I can say also I don't mean to offend either. I don't know any Jewish people, or others of different faiths. and I do understand where you are coming from.

but Happy holidays for this season, just doesn't cut it. Iwould like to hear more of Merry Christmas , still wish you well.

I say Merry Christmas all the time, but I know in a work situation, it is different then just saying to people on the streets as you pass them by. Merry Christmas to you and all the people on this board.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE HERE...EVERYONE. I believe in respecting others right to their own beliefs but what about respecting the same for me and all other Christians. I never tried to force anyone to say Merry Christmas but don't try to force me NOT to say it. If anyone dosen't like it....well...no one is forced to stay here are they?

NO NO NO ... I total agree with you. It's a free world and we should be able to say it like we want and not worry about offending someone else. There are many different people in this world with their own beliefs and I believe in respecting each others likes and dislikes. Freedom of choice is the way I see it. If a business wants to say happy Holladay’s or merry Christmas or both it’s their right. Am agreeing with you. I believe in equal rights. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and we should all respect that. Difference is what makes the world go around. If we all were the same it would sure be a boring world…. there wouldn‘t be anything to talk about. Guess we would all just have to be Happy or all be Sad….. God Bless you and yours.
