HI everybody....been busy in "Santa's" workshop and finally managed to work out one of those little ornaments we were talking about a while a back. I posted a link on the Oct. Charm Swap but it originated with tlrnhi.

It turned out pretty cute and I think I've finally figured it out so plan to whip up a few this week.

Thanks! Forgot to mention that the blue background is a little puppy blankie out of flannel. Hmmm cozy.

Thanks so much for your lovely compliments. Gcathie, I don't think it's hard as much as time consuming for the first one.

I didn't do it exactly as the directions stated because the center is supposed to be folded, too but I wanted the image to show and thatls A LOT of folding LOL.

Terri, I hear you...but have to tell you that the fingers were numb half way through and I thought might as well see if I can finish this bad boy.
The back star didn't turn out as nice because it's so hard to find the center compared to the front. I think I'll add some extra pins to help me keep things together on the next one.

I thought I'd really be bothered by sore fingers day 2 but I'm up and ready to go at it again....maybe you could use your thimble if it really bothers you.

I might decide to finish the one I started and then make more. I dunno. I have sooo many things I have to get done with the most important thing being...catching a flight!

Terri, might be good for a flight if they let you have pins on board. I was going to do one on the car ride to the IN-LAWS to keep me from chewing my fingernails all off....too late, already did yesterday.....but now I'm driving, too. We've got so much stuff we're hauling and with the new puppy and a new stove on the return trip, gotta take the truck. Maybe I'll make myself a kit to do there :!: :!:

I usually have something to do while traveling, whether by plane or car. We are trying to travel light this trip, but with everything the kids want, that is a bit hard. Not much room to squeeze anything extra in, but at least I got a new book for the "ride". :)

    Thank you.
I made one for my mom, one for my mother in-law and one for her mom, too. They seemed like a big hit. I made some homemade chicken & dumplings to send along with the ornaments----it was a homemade Christmas! :D
