    Christmas Placemats

    I saw this pattern in the December 2009 Quilters World magazine and thought I would like to make these placemats some day--someday finally arrived this year. It was fun to do and except for the backing I used scraps. I machine appliqued the holly.

    I have this pattern to do 'someday' too! They are lovely, maybe my someday will come soon.

    Oh my goodness they are beautiful, were they hard to make? I would love to make some for gifts too...it looks like a log cabin block is it like that?
