I'm dense...I don't understand what you mean. Can you help me? Thanks!
If you sew together 6 Width of Fabric strips, you will end up with a large rectangle approx 44inch by 12 1/2 inch. Llay this on your cuting board so the seams are going horizontally - side to side and cut across the 6 stripes verically at 2 1/2 inch intervals.

This gives you a pile of strips 12 1/2 inches by 2 1/2, made up of 6, 2 1/2 inch squares. you then mix these up to redistribute the colours and fabrics and sew them back together to form the place mats or runners.

Hope that helps?

Don't laugh! I had to come over to the UK (where I have access to faster broadband!!!) to a gallery opening of some of my 'arty stuff' (see website!!) so I have left my hsband with about 250 2 1/2 inch woF strips t sew together - he is a learner and I told him it was good practice for his 1/4 inch seams!!!!

LOL!

Hi! I am in Hertfordshire - until 6am tomorrow!! Then back to Ireland to get sewing!

(We are english actually - just love living the Good Life!!)

My husband has always been fascinated by my quilting and started classes about 6 months ago - he is making his own sampler quilt (I couldn't teach him - too many arguments!!)
