I agree that no one who makes quilts by hand would ever want it to be in a thrift store! Can't imagine anyone not wanting that beautiful quilt, lovingly made by someone. Glad it found an appreciative home. Bless you!!

The person who quilted may have passed away, and the family didn't appreciate the work. It happens all the time. You were very fortunate to be there at the right time. My husband's friend held an auction of his mother-in-law's things, and her quilts went for $3.00 each. I almost cried with pain to hear that.

How awesome, for you and the quilt. I love Christmas quilts, all quilts, but if I did nothing else at Christmas I would put Christmas quilts on my beds... Beautiful. Glad you found each other.

What a great find for you and am sure if the quilt could talk, it would have some interesting stories to tell as to why it ended up where it did. Enjoy it.

What a beautiful quilt, and you are very lucky.
I am always so sad when I see quilts and afgans just thrown out without a thought to all the work that went in them.
Thank you for saving one of then,
    GOD bless.
