    What a nice gift! But you might soon have other family members hoping you'll be willing to make them one for $35!

    For those who I'm sure misinterpreted, I believe she meant she'd exceeded the cost limit for this gift not only for the materials, but she didn't count the value of her work - surely not thinking she might have cheated by not spending enough!
