LOL! Those cut-off corners were a mistake. I don't have a pattern, and it simply didn't occur to me that sewing the blocks this way would cut off the corners. But in the end, I really like the effect of it. I like that they're called "snowball corners." That's perfect for the theme of this quilt.

Thanks so much for your idea. I had thought about doing the elementary school type snowflake, but I'm just not very good at it. I played around with it but so far don't like anything I came up with. Maybe I need to play some more.

What a great idea!!!! I'm going to look up snowflake cookie cutters now. It'd be even better if I could find a set with 3-4 different designs.

For suggestions on Christmas quilts I always look at my cookie cutters, christmas cards, and any Christmas books I have on hand. the website quiltscomplete.com I always look through as well for ideas.
