I never even thought of the reds running when washed. I think I will use a color catcher.
If I use it for decoration during the season, hopefully it will not need washing too soon.
Yes, my red was prewashed, but not the jelly roll.

First off--BEAUTIFUL QUILT!! Will have to look this one up and try! Question: I see the red and white fabric (could have been prewashed) and I see the red in the jelly roll fabric (probably not prewashed)---what's the best procedure for washing this quilt the first time to prevent bleeding? Synthrapol in hot? Anything else? Just wondering since I hold my breath everytime I wash a finished quilt for the first time. I usually do not prewash.
