I absolutely do not understand how Riversong (Caroline) could possibly whip these table toppers out so fast and perfect. It took me over a week to do this one. I am grateful to Riversong for so graciously answering my questions concerning this project. After seeing her beautiful toppers, I wanted to make one to take to my Bible Study Group Christmas party for an exchange gift. Whoever gets this will never know the blood, sweat and tears that I put in it.

Well if no one there likes it, I will gladly take it! I think it is wonderful. Some people just seem to be naturally able to do things quickly and have them turn out perfect. I always have to take things apart a couple of times and then am never satisfied with my work. Yours is beautiful.

WOW Beautiful Wish I were the lucky one to receive it. Did you appliqué the poinsettia? Is there a pattern for it?

The pointsettia is raw edge machine appliqued. I found the picture on the Internet. Riversong gave us the instructions to make the topper. Here it is.

Kathy that's beautiful. I made 2-both wonky. Even talked with Riversong and watched her tutorial. Still can't get all my sides even. I love the colors you used and the applique. Great job.

Yours is lovely, I love poinsettias! Yes, Riversong makes beautiful things, I have one of her table runners in my new dining room as I knew I wouldn't have time to sew this year. :-D :-D

You did an awesome job on your table topper. I have been wanting to do one, but haven't taken the plunge yet. Did you just google poinsetta to get the picture? Thanks for sharing.

From the google page, I clicked on 'images' first and then typed in pointsettia. You will get pictures but as you scroll down you will see the coloring book images. Or, you can type, in the search block 'pointsettia coloring book images'.

I bought one of Riversong's Christmas table toppers and love it. Yours is every bit as pretty and I love the simplicity of the design. But then, I love poinsettias, almost anyway I can get them.
