The tree skirt is this year's project, and the stockings I made last year for my kids - the blue and green is my daughters and the red and white is my sons, although some year I may make him one out of novelty fabric and take the red and white for myself.

I fell in love with the green w/ornaments moda fabric that I used for the border of the tree skirt. I wish I'd been able to use more of it in the skirt. Oh well, plenty left for another project. The pattern came out of a 1999 McCall's Quilting magazine (a friend gave me TONS of magazines when she moved).

Now that I've become so crafty quilty my goal is to make something for myself to decorate with each each year. But I'm not going to put pressure on myself. This year's Christmas has to wait until after...but thats ok. =)

How fun, you did a great job. You can send them to me after the holidays, so that you can make yourself another one, because they are so fun to make.LOL

Merry Christmas to everyone, and thank you for the kind words. Both projects are super simple, mostly squares, but that's about all I've got time for this time of year. :)

What a wonderful gift! Can you put me on your list for next year? Ummm, I'd like a stocking? Seriously what is the project for next year? It's a good idea, projects for each year.
    Thanks for the photos.

I think next year is a couch throw with some charm squares I bought from Connecting Threads this year. They had the most adorable Christmas prints.

They are really cute. i'd like the tree skirt made into a table runner and I can see why you might want to trade for that red and white stocking!

Great tree skirt. I have some of those fabrics and the pics just don't do it justice. Don't you hate it when the color doesn't come through true on pics?
