I'm also doing it although I too haven't done Kansas troubles yet. I'll probably wind up redoing my stars at some point too.
My first attempt at applique...I *think* I want to try a bit more of it :)

Lovely blocks. I book marked this a few weeks ago with the intent to put some time aside to make these lovely blocks up. Well done!
