    Civil War Table Runner

My LQS owner thought this looked muddy. She doesn't like Civil War fabrics.

I think is pretty, not muddy at all. I don't think a shop owner should voice her personal preferences or dislikes if she wants to have repeat customers.

It's not my colors(I like really loud colors) but I think it's very pretty.

I love the Civil War fabrics!! Enjoy the "softer" colors while I'm doing my Dear Jane. Really like your quilt!

The only that matters is if it matches the decor of the room and/or the dish set of the table it will be used on. Couldn't see it in a contemporary room or a French traditional, etc. In the right setting it should be lovely. Why would she judge it outside of the setting that it will be used? It looks as if the workmanship is fine. What more could she judge? I think her judgment is skewed.
