    Smile Claire's Cats (in progress)

These cats are from Claire's Cats Vol 1 by Darcy Ashton. This is a UFO I recently brought back to life! I am currently doing hand applique for the kitties and I plan to have sashing between the blocks and applique mice on the boarders.

I'm a dog fan myself but I'll have to admit.....that's one of the cutest cat quilts I've ever seen. I love the colors! Can't wait to see the finished quilt. Great job. I'd even use that on my bed and that's saying something because seriously I'm a big dog lover. My dogs would disown me so don't tell them.

What an awesome quilt! I'm thinking I'd like to do one similiar. It's just too cute. And Yes, I am a cat person who currently has no cats.

I do love cats but otherwise agree with everything said. What a great choice of fabrics. Batiks make beautiful cats.

Love the cats... love your fabric choices. Darcy Ashton is one of my favorite designers. Love all of her patterns. She does lots of different animals and everytime I see one of her patterns in progress, it makes me want to do another one too.

    Simply adorable!
A dog is not "almost human" and I know of no greater insult to the canine race than to describe it as such.

So cute! Cats look very active, just like real life. I don't have any at my house, but I do have two "grandcats", Oscar and Blondie. Be sure and let us see the finished quilt.

Puppy Paws - Your batik cats are meowy wonderful. I just ordered both volumes of Claire's Cats. There was a nice surprise pattern in vol 2. It was a fracture quilt with a Siamese cat in front of it. I can't wait to see your finished quilt.

That is one of the best cat quilts. I love the shapes and playfulness of them along with the colours.
Home is where the heart is, and a few scrappy quilts.
