That men's wool pants and jackets quilt looks like the one I slept under all those years ago in cold, snowy West Virginia. It sure did keep me warm. I can remember cuddling up under it and 2 flannel sheets and maybe another quilt under it, then watching the snow land on the tree branches outside my window. Not too well insulated, I remember the curtains waving in the wind even though the window was closed and that little lock on it was snugged down tightly.
Really takes me back...

Maybe your MOM will know something about the quilts you found. Such a nice find.

Well I just gotta ask ... who is the owner of the totes? Did you move them from mom's to look through them? You say your husband thinks the Sue one belonged to his grandmother. So was that one mixed in with the others? I'm just curious. I have some questions about some quilt squares that I found in my parents' basement after they both had passed. But I believe all quilting was done by my mom's mom as she made quilts for all of us kids. No matter where they're from it's always nice to find them!! Especially for those of us who REALLY appreciate them.

What a treasure. Threads of Time in Danville Il. has an old quilt hanging in one of their rooms that's the same embroidered birds as the third one but it's set with yellows. Chances are they're all from Grandma since they all look like the same era.
