Love both of quilts! I saw your post for the yellow one without the borders. I was hoping you would post it again with the borders on. Thank you for the pattern too, I have bunch of scraps to use up I have to give this a try.

Such great scrappies. I love how you are working your way through the scraps. Just a quick question... How much yardage of the red or yellow does it take ?

I really don't know...since with the yellow I was using a piece and having to cut out the green design on it--and the red, I was using scraps of various solid reds I could find. So, the blue one, I have mostly cut out, it is taking about 2 yards, I think, for this size, which is made up of 35 blocks layout of 5x7 (12" blocks). But, unfortunately, I don't know for sure, since I'm using up "what I have" and not really buying anything for these. I did pull out some more blue as I didn't have enough of my originally planned blue to make it the size I want. So, I'd guess between 2-3 yards for the way I have done it with the border, etc.

At first I was afraid to mix the reds up as I didn't have enough of one red to finish it. Then, I kept digging and found some 12" blocks of solid reds, and cut them into the sizes I needed for the border (I used 1.5" strips bordering 2" blocks). So, my reds are mixed, but I figured, "it's a scrappy quilt, after all" and Bonnie Hunter uses all kinds of blues and greens, etc. when making a color coordinated scrappy. Since she seems to be the default expert on scrappy on the net, I figured, "if she can, I can too!".

Those are two great scrappy quilts, I might have to think about using some of my scraps.

I love both of them, but the red really catches my eye. You did a wonderful job.
