Very adorable quilt. My mother has been gone for six years and my plan is to use some of the clothing I have of hers to make memory pictures for the five grandchildren, making a dresden plate from the clothing, with her pic in the center and putting it in an 8x10 frame with her name, DOB and DOD on it, along with a verse taken from the homily at her funeral, for this Christmas. Next year I'll try to do the same for the 14 great grandchildren of mom's. Thanks for sharing your beautiful creation.

A comment on perfection - whoever is lucky enough to get this quilt will be able to see and feel the perfect love in it.
What a lovely thing to say! Thank you so much.

Yes, I understand what you mean, I still speak to her in my mind and sort of know what her replies would be. I use those thoughts to guide me but the 'missing' feeling is still so great. I am sure it will get better when time lapses. I wonder how long more this will take?

Yes, I have mum's clothing here too and I am planning to sew them into sheets to be included in quilts for her 3 grandchildren. So far progress is slow. I have done one backing for a large quilt which is waiting to be quilted (sigh) and intend to make a few more. Problem is mum never liked ironing and so her clothes are mainly made of crease free fabrics that are not cotton and some are quite thin. So I have to sew them onto cotton fabric for strength and then piece them. Just one step more to do. Will get there in the end, I'm sure.

I like what you are going to do for the grandchildren and great grandchildren. They will be ever so happy when they receive your handmade gifts.

Here is the label and the fabric that is on the back of the quilt. I chose a Dinosaur print Minky fabric.
