    Connecting Threads strip quilt ...

I bought this kit at connecting threads to make for charity last year (I think) and finally had the time to get it all finished today. It turned out to be 76 x 56 and is a nice and cozy weight.

This was my first strip quilt and I have to say it was fun to do. I happen to get a good deal on the backing from a board member that fit it perfectly. How great was that? I hope you all like it too.

That turned out so pretty, I've never done a strip quilt (I don't think) and your backing fabric is so fun!

put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

Looking good Sandy. Connecting Threads has some fun patterns. I also have a kit that I need to get done from them. Maybe this year. Love the colors in your kit. And the backing was a perfect match.

Love this quilt. Would love to know the name of the pattern? I am sure I could figure it out but that involves doing the math. I love the size. Perfect lap quilt. Would love to make it for a gift.

I am seeing more of these ROW quilts. You did a very nice job and that backing is absolutely perfect.

Thank you all so very much! I agree , I am seeing many more of the strip quilts too. A fun way to display those easy blocks.

The name of the quilt is snow days and the blocks used are combination of a friendship block and a shoo fly block. I just had to make hst's to make either one of the blocks into a nine patch to make the block. Very easy as you say. Fast, fun and down and dirty stipple quilting for the most part. I don't sew very fast at all, but, it went fast comparatively.

I am pretty sure both of these blocks could be found free at quilter's cache if you wanted to make this quilt mtnmama1955.

Love this!! the colors are bright and fun, the piecing is terrific, and the fact that the backing goes so well with the overall theme is just that much more enjoyable. I know I'd love to have this to snuggle under while watching TV! Great job!!
