Made this for my nephew. He was born last Thursday the 27th.

The back is Ultra Cuddle fabric from Joann's it is my new favorite quilt back. It doesn't stretch and distort like Minky does.

I was going to wait to get better pictures (outside) but with nasty weather on the way doesn't look like thats going to happen anytime soon.

He looks so contended on his quilt. I think you have a vote of approval there.

Ahhhh...how cute...the baby is precious and I think he loves his cuddly quilt! I know I do! Did you use batting along with that soft, cuddly backing?

I did use a layer of warm and natural. What I did was instead of quilting all three layers together I just quilted the top to the batting. and then I washed in hot and dried on high to make sure that there would be no further shirnking. Then I layed the quilted top on the backing and pinned really well, then I basted the edges then added the binding like normal. After seeing how well the basting stitches got "lost" in the backing I think it could easily be quilted without the quilting being noticed on the back. Its warm but I don't think its to much.

How can anyone NOT love this pattern? I love that they are so easy to put together and I even made this one the HST method. I don't mind making them and I bought the fabric to make it that way so I went with it. All three of my kids fell in love with this quilt (mainly for the backing) I think they are all getting one for their birthday this year. I think I am going to try the no triangle way for those!
