controlled scrappy with pink and purple

ufo finished 2014, just got it to up load, finally. Donated to Phoenix Area Quilters that makes quilts for "Aid to adoption of special needs children". Scrappy quilts are my most favorite ones to make.

Really like it. A controlled scrappy is the only kind I can do. Just can't make myself throw caution to the wind and make a really scrappy scrappy! I always find myself reworking the pieces to be more coordinated.

Very pretty quilt and a great cause that you're supporting. God bless you.
A quilt is like a good life. It's full of mistakes, but, in the end, it looks pretty good.

This turned out great. I really like how you did your strip squares with a white strip in the center giving the quilt a look of having sashing.

Pretty! Is there a name for this pattern? My nephew informed me he would like this pattern but in black and white prints with one strip being bright lime green!

check out Bonnie Hunter's web site Quiltville.com I used telephone book paper squared up, large needle, sew the center piece (mine is the white) with a strip on top right sides together on the diagonal, chain piece several in a row, turn to the other side and do the same, press, cut the chain apart, then start all over. I like to pull the paper off while watching tv. after paper is removed I re-press and trim to size. Arrange and Stitch blocks together like you normally do.

Very pretty. Two of my favorite colors, although I like almost all colors. I also make scrappy scrappy quilts too.
