I made this pattern too and used hand dyes for the blocks and then black for the rest of it as well. I just love how the colors pop against the black. Did you also find that it was fairly easy to put together? I haven't finished mine off yet as I haven't decided if I want to make it into a quilt or a duvet cover.

Yes, it was fairly easy to put together, as long as you pay attention to how you're assembling the blocks when chain stitching... I had to rip out several, so I paid more attention when I was doing it the next time! I made an extra square of each color to make throw pillows to go on her bed.
