They are on top of my pile of "next" projects! I really wanted to get them done for Xmas, but I got so involved in purse making ( did 4days of craft fairs before Xmas) and the holidays, I didn't get to them. I have to make the pieced sashing and border for my McKenna Ryan quilt, (think I'll have it LA quilted), THEN Inam going to try my Boxer patterns! You'll probably hear from me asking for help!!

I make the lining separately, with fusible fleece, add in pockets and sew up the bottom and sides. Leave it inside out and just stick it in the jeans, wrong sides together. There should be an extra 1 1/2 - 2 inches extra at the top. Tuck that under at the top about 1/8 inch below the top of the jeans and pin. This is when you add your straps front and back, and I add I. a key clip on a tab. Once straps are in place and both pieces are all pined, sew around the top about 1/4 inch away from the edge. You need a jeans needle and use denim thread on top with thread matching the lining in the bobbin. I skip sewing over the belt loops.

These are absolutely adorable. I am afraid to try a purse especially without a definite pattern but my dgd has some throw away jeans with fancy pockets that I would love to use. I would have absolutely no idea how to start but I will look on the website you suggested. Thanks for posting and yes, pictures are upside down - but not all of them.
