They are both impressive but if I had to choose I would pick # 1 because as a door hanging it would stand out.

thats what I was thinking when I made number 1. I am not going to do to much quilting on it. I will get started on binding my daughters first before I quilt mine. Dang kids they never finish what they start!!! lol...
