I finally picked up the crumb block quilt for my son, I did all the blocks and the short sashings in early summer, but got side tracked (do all of us to that???) :D

Izy--that is simply beautiful. I love all the colors and how you tie them together with the sashing.

This is going to be a HAPPY quilt! I'm jealous of your big tile floor--what a great place to lay out quilts for sandwiching and pinning!

Yes Elle, but boy was it a pain trying to get around Malaga, John ended up parking illegally and staying with the car while I dashed into the shop quickly, I got magenta in the end to match in with the sashings :D

Thanks Harmony, it is enlivening, as it is much brighter in real life

The floors are handy, but very hard on your knees, I need to buy some of those garden kneeling pads

Thanks Mel - Oh yes they have followed the progress via the internet just like you guys....Jess is so impatient with me to finish it, I have bought enough of the magenta backing to make a base frill to match and probably pillow shams and pillow case to match, not sure what Ryan will think of sleeping in such a PINK bed, but hey, he got to choose the lounge colours and Jess got to choose the bedroom, Black and Magenta!!! :D

Craftybug the blocks couldn't be easier!! This is the second quilt top I have done using this technique but this time I am trying my very first 'on point' quilt which has been challenging as I am not following a pattern....just making it up as I go along, and I have had trouble with the set in triangles but I won't be beaten   :D

Heres a link to the first one and the tutorial that evolved from it :D

Really nice Izy. I love the bright colors and you do such a great job. One of these days I'm going to try a quilt on point. Looks neat!

Jan, for a short time on Friday, I thought about changing my mind about 'on-point'....as I got my knickers in a twist with the set in triangles, but I am glad I didn't as the effect is worth the hassle I think eventually
