Debquilter 50 posted a picture of a crossword puzzle that was my inspiration for this family crossword puzzle. My MIL will be 86 next week and loves crossword puzzles. This is my gift to her.

I created and printed the letters on fabric and used a free website to create the design (it was simple, just put in the names and the program creates the design). The individual squares are 1 1/2-inches and the total measurement of the wall hanging is 34".

Thanks Debquilter50 for the inspiration and help

Very nice. Could you let us know what the web site is that you used to get the names in order? Thanks

What an awesome idea. Just when you think there's nothing new, something pops up to get your attention. Thanks for sharing.

The website is http://www.puzzlemaker.com. Just a couple words of instruction regarding the website. In step 2 and 3 of the instructions it asks for the widtha, height, and square size. This information has nothing to do with your quilt ... it is the size that will be printed on the paper printout. I left the numbers at the default they provided. Also .... Step 4 tells you to enter the word followed by a space and then the clue for that word. I typed the "person's name, space, and then the person's name again." ... the reason, the clue is the name so you know what name to put in the blank space on the puzzle.

I am in the process of preparing a Microsoft Word Document with the written instructions on how I created this puzzle. If you are interested in these instructions, please PM me.
