Thank you all for your kind compliments. I have strips of the "whole" fabric to sash this with, cut before I even started the blocks. I find points to be much less daunting by hand with carefully marked and pinned intersects. As to where I got the pattern.. well, I have a HUGE stash of 12" block patterns that I have collected over the years.. for those just starting this adventure of quilting, I would advise you to get a good sturdy notebook from the school section of your favorite store.. They'll be going on sale soon. Then I buy sheet protectors. Each pattern is on a sheet of paper and I make plastic templates for each block and after the block is cut out, I stash the templates in the protector with the pattern.. You'd be surprised how quickly they add up over time. I've collected them from LOTS of different places, and some I've drafted myself. I also have notebooks with other sizes of patterns. So.. that's the LONG way of saying.. sorry there's no specific pattern.. just a sampler.. a great way to try out new blocks.
