I have been making these for grandchildren and using those fleece throws Walgreen's often has on sale as the backing. It makes the cuddle quilts especially cuddly and cozy. They are sometimes marked down after holidays and are cheaper than the yardage they are about 48 by 60. Just a thought, best of luck to the family without a home due to fire.
