I made this quilt for a little girl at church for her birthday. I had a lot of fun making it, both because the free-form piecing was a nice change, and because I love cupcakes and the cupcake border fabric. The cupcake has beaded "sprinkles".

The book I got the instructions for the cupcake and the letters out of was called
"Out of the Box with Easy Blocks: Fun with Free-Form Piecing", by Mary Lou Weidman and Melanie Bautista McFarland.

I didn't get a picture of the label, but I stamped it with permanent ink with a happy birthday message and had everyone from church sign it.

It has a hanging pocket, or I told her it could be a Bow-Wow quilt. She has a very ragged stuffed dog named Bow-Wow that goes everywhere with her.

She said "Bow Wow likes it!"

Thanks! I was really excited when I found the beads at Hobby Lobby. They went so perfectly with the colors in the cupcake print.
