    Yep.. the more I look at them, the more I agree that I need the stronger contrast. Thanks for the input everyone!

    I much prefer the darker, but I always like contrast!

    The higher contrast is better, I think. This will be a great quilt for your mom because she will remember sewing every garment represented in the quilt.

    You definitely need the contrast instead of the 2 lighter colors. Pretty fabrics though.

    the 2nd block with the beautiful, darker fabric makes the
    blocks "sing".

    Hello i think it looks very nice. i am not far from you i live near king george about an hour north east of richmond nice to meet a va quilter

    I'm in Mechanicsville now, so not too far. I love the Millstone quilt shop. Have you ever been there?
