A few weeks ago, one of our local deputies was seriously injured in a head-on collision. Our charity group, Firehouse Quilts, was asked to make a comfort quilt for him. We kept a photo journal of it's creation from picking a pattern and fabric to it's presentation to him by his buddies. I wrote an article and put about 15 pics in to help tell the story; I think it's going to be in our printed version of yourhub.com this Thursday.

You can read the whole story online tho . . . just click here. :)

Thanks for letting me share our heart-warming story. We normally give snuggle quilts to our fire departments in Colorado and the firefighters give them to the children they see on their emergency runs. :) If you're interested in seeing more pics and stories of our deliveries, you can go to our website at www.firehousequilts.org .
    thanks again

What a great story. I have found quilters to be the most generous group of people I've ever been around.

thank you all so much for your kind words. We really enjoyed making it for him. As you see from all the pics on the URL I put in my first post, a lot of people were involved. :D

If you haven't seen all the pics, here's the link again.
