Okay Melissa, Forget what I said, I know nothing :( I have it on very good authority that it is Westminster Abbey, that is one of the windows and the statue standing outside. The figurines are part of the facade of the building.

I just knew Colin would know...... :D Elle

Oh, how homesick and wonderful your pictures made me. I was born in SD, but spent some time in GB. Ex was stationedat RAF Upperheyford and we lived in an old home in Steeple Aston, Oxfordshire. I have never forgotten our stay there and how lovely the people in our village were to us. The no central heating, I got used to very quickly, as we were there in GB worst winter in 99 years, 1963. And believe you had a recent winter that compared to the 1963 winter. Our good old parafin heater and an occasioanl fire in the fir3place kept us toasty.

We took hundreds of slides and my son-in-laws parents were going to make a video for, me as father is a very well know photographer in Denver and US. That was in 1997, still don't know what the status, as I would hate to lose them.

Thanks so much for sharing the pictures.

I still like my cuppa with sugar and cream!!!

Cheerio

Helen :)

Hello Mellisa. This I can help you with. I lived in Catford before I moved to West Sussex. I lived in Woolstone Road, and often used to shop in Catford or go a little further into Lewisham. The Mall in Catford has a huge black cat at the front of the entrance. I also used to work in Catford when I was employed by a solicitor. Happy Days. Sylvia

I lived in Sidcup for quite a while and I used to go to Lewisham a lot at the weekends shopping, donīt think I would do that now though, I think I would find it a bit scary. Is there still a lot of bag snatching going on??? Then I went to live near Bromley just before coming to Spain and I have been here 4 1/2 yrs. Couldnīt put up with the British weather any more :D
