That's a lovely quilt! Is her textile class a college course? They don't teach sewing in the high schools around here anymore... just a week or two is spent on it in middle school.

The pattern is out of the Fons & Porters Easy Quilts Fall 2009 issue. Abby just turned 18. Her class isa high school individiualized sewing. She is using a blue for the backing.
