Awesome! I can see you now, with your grand daughter, in the parade in New Orleans, strutting your stuff with these quilts mounted as a "sign on a stick". Throwing beads to the on-lookers, Winning the parade prize of course. Such originality! Keep up the good work!

I love your DOD quilt creations and I think that your creativity is awesome. Thanks for sharing, I've never seen quilts with this theme before.

I know there have been times when I wanted to say something less than kind and I have to think twice. Usually when I see something that isn't to my taste, whether it be color, design or quality of workmanship, I look for something nice to say. That being said, I can tell that you have put a lot of work into these pieces. I think they have turned out great for you and you should be proud of the outcome.

The design work, colors, and hours put into those do make them very impressive....and I think the celebration is geographical and cultural. I may be wrong...

These quilts are OUTSTANDING! Although I lived in New Mexico for 8 years, I never paid much attention to Day of the Dead. In recent years, since we retired, we RVed to Taos and were there for this celebration, and I understood so much more clearly about the holiday. I think it's a wonderful tradition to set aside a day to honor all the passed loved ones. Thanks for sharing the link too - it is very informative for those not familiar.
