Just finish this quilt it's from eleanor burns book Day&Night
been trouble from day one first I couldn't find the material
I wanted so decided to use this then after sewing many strips together found out the red wasn't long enough to get 8 triangles from each set so had to adjust that (this was after I cut 2 strips) then finally got the top done decided to quilt it with
red and black thread took some time before I found the right thread order it then started to sew I use my best friend's long arm quilter which is very old but works great after ripping out
a lot we thought it was the bobbin thread then thought it was the needle changed all that still having probems after a few phone calls found out we could not use polyester thread on top only 100% cotton in the bobbin we could use polyester told you it's a old quilter we couldn't find any red and black 100% cotton thread so I did the top in white and the back in red and black thread got it done and learned some hard lessons so here's my day&night quilt

this is the back

Love it! I have picked up that book a few times myself, but always decided that I wanted to spend my money on something else. Your quilt is so lovely I may have to buy the book after all...

Beautiful quilt. I love Eleanor Burns and her methods. They seem to work best for me.

I think it's gorgeous! The black, white and red together are very striking!
