Default Finished my sons reversible quilt

Done..last Sat my son come over and I cut the tumbler pieces while he designed the top. I had the Cat in the Hat panel that I was going to use for a pillow, but he wanted on the back...Sunday I pieced the front, and this Saturday worked on the back with some fabrics that I purchased with a furture quilt in mind. Today I had to make the back a bit longer...so pieced together left over fabrics, sandwiched and FMQ'd, I took a break and was going to bind next weekend but after supper I decided to put on the binding. Washed/Dried...its ready!!! I have decided not to give it to him until his Birthday which is in several weeks..he called and asked if it was done. I told him yup but you can't have it...he said we will see about that...LOL...the hubby said he is going to hide it because he knows that I will give in.

That is sooo darling!!! I made a Dr. Seuss quilt for my son and when I washed it the first time the turq blue bled sooo bad. It went through to the other side also. Made me so sad. I thought I had done what I was supposed to do to keep the colors from bleeding.

I am a prewasher and I also use color catcher. I just took it out of the drier, nothing bled. I will have to give my son a box. Thanks for the heads up.

I simply adore that. Dr. Seuss is one of my favorite people! I sure wish the fabric designers wouldn't leave off other important Suess characters...Sneeches are my all-time favorite.
