I made my step grandson a rag quilt with flannel prints, One had a dinosaur print. He started sleeping under it the night he opened the gift. He's 6. Now I need to make my step granddaughter a quilt. She'll be 14 on May 8. I don't have much of a clue as to what she likes. I've only known her for 3 years now and she lives 500 miles from me. I don't get to visit often.

Ask her some questions for clues....Favorite color, Favorite song, favorite flower etc. You can then pull your favorite pattern from that inspiration! I did that with my 18 year old neice, they are so used to answering questions like that on facebook, I'm sure she had no idea why I was asking, but it gave me enough to be right on the money with her quilt.
