What an accomplishment! You should be very, very, very proud of yourself. I know I wouldn't have the patience for something that took that long to complete. I truly admire you for hanging in there and seeing it through to the end. Now you deserve a bottle of wine and a bubble bath!

That is one heck of an accomplishment and you have a gorgeous quilt to show for it. But I agree, that is definitely not a project I would want to do over! I would love to see a close up pic of some of your hand-quilting (hint hint!

)
