Thank you for the link about Jane And her quilt. It is a beautiful quilt pattern with an interesting history. I'd like to learn more, and you've helped get me started.. I am impressed with the detail and intricacy of the patchwork. Again beautiful and thank you Raine

I started one in 2004 to have something to work on during the trips taking my son to college from northern MI to Ann Arbor. Got 7 blocks done before giving him my old car to use.I just bought the DVD to print out the patterns and start again. You have given me hope to contine and shown I don't only use white in the background. By the way, his college quilt got burned up in his condo when he was out to sea in a submarine.

Several of the ladies I sew with also did Dear Jane. We had the patterns for the blocks printed on pattern ease. That is fantastic stuff.

I assume it is called Dear Jane for Jane Sickle who first made the quilt.

The story of the butterfly is when it came time to put it together I found out I was missing one of the blocks so I just made the butterfly block kind of makes the quilt mine and I love butterflies.

The shop I was in is Deer Country in Seeley Lake. We go up their for classes and yes the Lincoln Shop is closed which is very sad for all of us quilters.

Wow, it is gorgeous. I admire your persistence. I think I am much too impatient to attempt such a large detailed project. Congratulations!
