"Dear Jane" quilts are a copy of a original quilt made by Jane Stickley during the Civil War. The original is in the quilt section of the museum in Kentucky. Brenda Papadakis saw the quilt and drew copies of each block and published a book without how to do the squares only block drawings. She named it Dear Jane.

I would say by the looks of it, it was worth the two years. Good job.

Allow me to add my "OH MY GOSH, HOW GORGEOUS!!!" to all the others. Truly outstanding accomplishment!!!

Quick question: Except for the backgrounds, did you duplicate any fabrics, or is each one different?

Each one of the fabrics used in the blocks are different. I did then use some of those same fabrics in the triangles. All of the backgrounds are the same fabric.
