How sweet! I have a GD that loved to help me sew when she was about that age. Now my GS is 5 and he loves to sew. He actually wanted a sewing machine for Christmas. I thought I would just let him use mine. His Daddy would have died!

That is soooo precious!! Few yrs ago I let my 5 DGDs pick out a block & some of them made some blocks. They're older now (younger ones showed more interest but are now in China) so I have filed away their blocks & pray I can make them a quilt when they graduate (oldest in 3 yrs, then her sis, then 2 yrs later oldest in China, then 3 yrs later her sis, then finally the baby 3 yrs later) with those included.
Oh I'm now in process of making 12" star blocks for oldest GS graduating in 2 yrs, then the very next yr his bro. I pray I have started in time???

You need to frame that picture of the hands and display it. That is a winner!

Aren't kids great to teach to sew? They're not afraid that it's too much for them, they just want to learn! Great memories and a wonderful quilt, too. Who could ask for more?

That will be a quilt that she will be able to cherish for the rest of her life, and the time is something that you got from your DGD which means that she absolutely loves the time that she spends with her grandma!
