    It might be maple...you know how we quilters have our stashes?....well, my DH also has stashes of various goodies in his workshop. He collected a LOT of very nice dovetailed drawers ...and I mean A LOT. He took them apart and piled the wood up to use in various projects. For this sewing caddy he stacked and glued 4 pieces of wood together, then began drilling out the holes and sanding it. He just might take everyone up on making them to sell.
