haven't had problems with needles. Clippers are kind of iffy. Most of the time, small ones get through OK but every once in a while, they get confiscated. I buy inexpensive scissors at the dollar store just in case.

Would the plastic kindergargen scissors work on a plane?

The quilt reminds me of something: "Until death do us part." I LOVE the butterfly!

Go to the TSA for the list of what's okay and what's not. They update frequently. What isn't allowed one time might be allowed the next. Have a safe, enjoyable trip!

Nice quilt - the "Day of the Dead"is an interesting tradition - I saw some nice displays in Taos NM last fall - I like the idea of honoring the ancestors on a regular and predictable schedule, altho i must admit I think of my loved ones much more often than annually.
