    Default That Didn't Take Long....

First block of my new scrap quilt and I messed it up already! All the blacks are supposed to be in a row on the diagonal.
I was so excited that my math worked that I forget to pay attention. Oh well, I guess the design is going to be slightly different than I had planned, because I'm not tearing it apart.

I do not blame you!!! It looks just fine. right now i'm trying to put white and then gray sashings on blocks making them a design. all i can come up with is stair steps. oh well, it will be done, even without being what I was imagining.

Don't tell anyone and they will think this was the planned pattern. It's lovely just the way it is! Sew on:-)

My Uncle taught me a long time ago, sometimes mistakes are perfect. Just keep doing the same thing and it becomes a pattern. You block looks good!

Looks good even if it isn’t quite what you planned!

I think most of us have been there, and done that. Sympathies, but no one will know and it may turn out better than the original. Keep sewing!

Been there, done that as well!

I love a secondary pattern, so I would be inclined to make the rest of the blocks according to your original plan, and just leave this one as-is for the quilt police to spot. If it bothered me in the end, I would appliqué a new four patch over the centre.

This is going to be a beautiful quilt! Are you going to have a black sashing between the blocks as well?
