I just finished the Blue Christmas Quilt Top, now I have to wait for Joann's to put Warm and White on sale again (or to get a 40% off coupon) so I can buy the batting. This quilt went so easily it felt like cheating. I was trying to match the quilt to the person I will give it to. Of course I need to buy the backing and run it through the sewing machine to quilt it, but first things first. :D

I hope so the base is her favorite color, I collected pretty blue fabrics for at least a month, my goal was simple and sophisticated, at least I got the simple. ;)

Elizabeth, this is really nice. It is going to be a favorite gift received. I hope you find a sale at JoAnn's soon. Are you going to use a special quilting design inside each square? Maybe you could quilt feathers, flowers, or other designs.

I was thinking about it, but I still haven't bitten the bullet for a darning foot... :D I'll be waiting for inspiration. As this top went so fast I have a little while before Christmas gets here.

Wow! I am so impressed that you turned those blue fat quarters into a quilt that fast--I love it
