how will you be applying the rings when the handles are attached to the purse already?

I have a suggestion for those of you who love to make purses. Try a lightweight real leather or real suede piece and lining it with fancy fabric and lots of pockets. On the outside of mine I made a pocket using a piece of brown leather about 7"x9", cut it out with pinking shears and then stitched it to the bag about 1/2" from edge. This enhanced the picture I had embroidered on the leather of a beautiful buffalo with some small Indian stick figures dancing around the buffalo in the grass. Most unusual receiving lots of compliments.
I love working with leather, also making my GD a aqua green leather skirt, matched it up with a turtleneck sweather onto which I stitched her initials cut out of the leather.

Very nice. I'm making an attic window wall quilt from home decor fabric. Couldn't find any cotton that would work. Lots of fun home decor fabs.
